As part of the Oxford African History Celebration 2016, in association with Oxford Brookes University Students' Union, Oriel and Linacre Colleges, and the East Oxford Community Association, a series of events will be hosted at Oriel throughout Black History Month this year. 

The session hosted at Oriel on Sunday 23rd October will be on 'Ten essential books to be read, studied and debated by all people of African heritage'. Books under discussion will include When We Ruled, Black Athena and How Europe Underdeveloped Africa

The event is free to attend and will invite participant discussion.
