Fellow and Tutor in Mathematics

University Lecturer in Numerical Methodologies at OCCAM, the Oxford Centre for Collaborative Applied Mathematics

College office: #3, 14 King Edward St.

Here at Oriel College, I tutor students in various applied mathematics courses such as calculus and differential equations.

My research interests are in the areas of numerical analysis, scientific computing, and applied mathematics. I mostly work on the design and analysis of algorithms for solving continuous mathematical problems on computers.

Much of my research focuses on numerical techniques for solving differential equations on curved surfaces (e.g., pattern formation on the surface of a rabbit). I also work on the numerical discretization of differential equations involving shocks and other discontinuous features which occur, for example, in the simulation of supersonic flight.
