Oxford African History Celebration: Black Lives Matter (from an English Perspective)

As part of the Oxford African History Celebration 2016, in association with Oxford Brookes University Students' Union, Oriel and Linacre Colleges, and the East Oxford Community Association, a series of events will be hosted at Oriel throughout Black History Month this year. 

On Sunday 9th October the first event, which is open to the general public, will be held in Oriel's Harris Lecture Theatre. The title of the event is 'Black Lives Matter (from an English perspective)'. There will be contributions from the West Papuan, East Timorese, Eritrean and Somali communities in Oxford.

The event is free to attend and will invite participant discussion.
