Professor Julien Devriendt

MA (MA, PhD, CASM Cantab)

Julien Devriendt is a Professor of Astrophysics in the Oxford University Department of Physics, and joined Oriel College as a Tutorial Fellow in Physics in 2017.

Professor Devriendt obtained his PhD in 2000 from the Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris working on the theory of galaxy formation and evolution. He subsequently became a Leverhulme post-doctoral fellow in the Astrophysics department at the University of Oxford and a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson college. Following a post-doctoral fellowship at the Centre de Recherche Astrophysique de Lyon, he became part of the Research Staff before returning to Oxford.
