Revd Dr Robert Wainwright teaches Early Modern Christianity, the history and theology of the Church from the fifteenth to the seventeenth centuries.
His research interests focus on the English Reformation. Before coming to Oriel he read History at St John’s College, Durham, and Christ Church, and Theology at Wycliffe Hall.
As Chaplain of Oriel he prays for the College and supports the well-being of all its members. He is particularly responsible for the spiritual life of the community. He is always happy to listen and talk about any matter in complete confidence.
