About Outreach at Oriel

  • Residential
The College’s outreach programme supports potential applicants from schools and areas that are currently under-represented at Oxford.

Oriel is committed to encouraging applications from academically able students regardless of background. All prospective students are invited to attend our open days and contact admissions

The College’s outreach programme supports potential applicants from schools and areas that are currently under-represented at Oxford. As part of the University of Oxford’s regional outreach strategy, Oriel works primarily with schools in Dudley, Kensington and Chelsea, Richmond upon Thames, Walsall, Wolverhampton and Worcestershire.

Oriel's targeted work begins with non-selective state schools in the six regions listed above. If you are a teacher who would like to support Oxford candidates more effectively, please contact Emma Bausch, Oriel's Outreach Officer at outreach@oriel.ox.ac.uk.

The College offers several distinctive events for target schools, including:

  • School Visits
  • Teachers’ Conference
  • Year 10 Exploring Oxford Days
  • Year 12 'Voyage to Oriel' Residential

Oriel College is also pleased to collaborate with other Oxford Colleges on the Pathways Programme.

Please also see the alternative prospectus to learn more about why our students love Oriel!
