Protestant Bible Scholarship: Antisemitism, Philosemitism, and Anti-Judaism

  • Close up of an illuminated text
26 May, 2019 to 27 May, 2019
Oriel College, Harris Lecture Theatre
All Welcome

This conference brings prominent biblical scholars and scholars of Judaism together for a conversation on the foundations of our fields.

We want to generate a critical discussion about how a biased understanding of Judaism became an integral part of biblical scholarship through the twentieth century. This conversation is about understanding, healing and changing that discussion through critical thinking and ethical reading.

This event is organised by the Centre for the Study of the Bible in the Humanities at Oriel College, Oxford
