Open for Applications: Oriel Graduate Scholarship in Engineering Science
Following a generous benefaction by an Orielensis and their family, we are pleased to announce that a new postgraduate scholarship in Engineering Science is now open for applications.
This scholarship is available for DPhil studies at Oriel in any discipline of Engineering, with a preference for Environmental Engineering. The award will provide a scholarship of £3,000 for each of the three years of the DPhil course and may be combined with other awards in order to provide an overall funding package. We look forward to welcoming the recipient of this scholarship in Michaelmas Term 2021.
Oriel has a lively community in Engineering Science with 24 undergraduate and around 10 graduate students in residence. College accommodation is available during the first year of the course and is available by competitive ballot in subsequent years. Opportunities to engage in and gain experience of undergraduate teaching in the tutorial system may also be available to suitably qualified candidates.
Oriel has one of the liveliest MCR communities in Oxford, with regular social events and the now well-established 'Oriel Talks', which offers graduate students the opportunity to share their research with the rest of the College community. Take a look at the MCR website for more information about life as a graduate student at Oriel.

This scholarship is applicable to those making a DPhil application in the subject of Engineering Science to the University of Oxford for the 2021/22 academic year. The final deadline for applications is 22nd January 2021, in line with the University of Oxford application deadlines.
When completing the online application, applicants should list Oriel College as their college choice and indicate their interest in the Oriel graduate scholarship in Engineering Science on their application form.
