Dr John Olson

Dr John Olson teaches a wide variety of papers in Modern Theology and Religious Studies. His research focuses on the intersection of Christian doctrine with continental philosophy and phenomenology. Most recently, this was reflected in an examination of the Eucharist as a site of divine revelation understood through embodied cognition. His current work focuses on the meaning and character of sin within the particular dynamics of the information age.

Research Interests

Dr Olson’s research interests exist at the intersection of Christian systematic theology and postmodern continental philosophy, particularly around issues of the knowledge of God, the relationship of religious language to practice, and theological hermeneutics.
