Mr Matthew McKernan
I am currently studying for the DPhil in Economics at Lincoln College, Oxford.
I am also currently a tutor at Keble College, Oxford, where I have previously taught Prelims Macroeconomics and Core Macroeconomics. Before studying for the DPhil, I graduated from the MPhil in Economics at St. Cross College, Oxford.
My research interests lie generally in macroeconomics, monetary economics, and labour economics. I am particularly interested in the interaction of heterogeneity across households and firms with financial constraints, and the implications of this for the transmission and design of the policies of governments and central banks. I am also interested in computational methods for solving dynamic economic models.
