Research interests

Scott is a doctoral student at the Lower Carbon Futures group in the School of Geography and the Environment. His research focuses on understanding the ways in which consumers can reduce their personal carbon footprint by purchasing green electricity. The research consists of an international comparison of green electricity tariffs and should help improve the understanding of what determines the success of a given tariff and why some countries have had more success than others. He is particularly interested in finding out what types of regulatory regimes can support green tariffs and at the same time protect consumers.
