I received my BA in German Studies from Yale University in 2018, graduating with honours.
I am now studying for the MSt in Modern Languages under the supervision of Professor Ritchie Roberston. I am also attached to the Centre for the Study of the Bible in the Humanities (CBH), based at Oriel College.
My research deals with the relationship between German biblical scholarship and literary culture over the course of the 18th century. I am particularly interested in practices of biblical translation, the multifaceted intellectual exchange between German and English-speaking scholars and intellectuals, and the ways in which developments in Hebrew philology influenced – and were influenced by – contemporary debates in German poetics. I also work on 18th century literature and German-Jewish thought more broadly.
