Oriel Student Wins Gold for Great Britain at World University Rowing Championships

Oriel student Morgan Baynham-Williams was part of the gold medal-winning GB Women's Eight at the World University Rowing Championships, which were held in Shanghai on the 10-12th August.

Morgan, an MSc student in Musculoskeletal Sciences at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) is a cox. She raced in Shanghai as part of the Team GB Women's Eight and helped lead the crew to victory over Canada and the USA, who placed second and third respectively. They are pictured with their gold medals above.

Great Britain dominated the event, winning six gold and two silver medals in total.

Morgan also memorably coxed the Women's Boat to victory in the dramatic 2016 Oxford vs Cambridge Boat Race.
