Oriel is taking part in All-Innovate this academic year. When applications open in mid-January, students will have an opportunity to pitch entrepreneurial ideas or ventures to be in with a chance of winning £40,000 of funding.

The All-Innovate competition is run by Oxford Foundry, the University's entrepreneurship centre. This year, all entrants will be offered a place on a 2-day virtual bootcamp to help them to develop their ideas before the shortlisting phase.

As a partnering college, undergraduates, postgraduates and DPhils from any department will be invited to pitch an entrepreneurial idea or venture for a chance to win from the £40,000 prize funding pot, as well as follow-on support to help turn your idea intro reality or build-up your existing venture. There will be two rounds, one in Hilary and one in Trinity, so double the chance of winning!

Entries will open on 18th January 2021, and the deadline for Hilary term entries is 14th February. Applications will then remain open for the Trinity term competition until 23rd May 2021.

The following awards will be handed out in Hilary term and Trinity term:

Best Idea - awarded £10,000 of grant funding. This is the best overall idea, and can be awarded to a team from either level.

Best Undergraduate Idea - awarded £5,000 of grant funding

Best Postgraduate Idea - awarded £5,000 of grant funding

The competition is accompanied by Idea Exploration, Design Thinking and Creativity workshop series with experienced mentors to help you build new skills and enhance your careers.

You can find further information about the competition and the supporting workshop series on the Oxford Foundry website and there are some online resources to get you started.
