Janet joined Oriel as Governance Officer in November 2023.
Janet is a solicitor having qualified in commercial practice. Janet worked in child protection for 20 years before moving to her role in governance. She gained experience in governance as Deputy Principal of a Local Authority Child Care Legal Department and latterly as a Consultant solicitor. Janet has held governance volunteering roles in education, adoption and in the charity sector.
At Oriel, Janet works to ensure best practice for governance and legal compliance. She maintains policy updates and responses to Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests. Janet coordinates the Student Finance Support Committee and she supports the Senior Management Team with Committee work throughout term.
