Outreach

Teachers at Teachers' Conference 2011If you are a teacher and would like to find out how Oriel or another college can help your potential Oxford candidates, a good place to start is the teachers’ eguide. Every local authority in England and Wales has a link college at Oxford. Oriel is the link college for Dudley, Kensington and Chelsea, Richmond upon Thames, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and Worcestershire.

Oriel’s outreach work is focussed on supporting applications from schools and areas that are currently under-represented in Oxford. All schools are welcome to attend our open days, and to make enquiries by phone or email. Open days: 27, 28 June and 14 September 2012.

Our more targeted work begins with non-selective state schools in the six regions listed above. We have tried to contact all HE advisors in the schools and FE colleges in our outreach regions. If you are an HE advisor, or a teacher who would like to support Oxford candidates more effectively, and you have not heard from us, please get in touch with Francesca Slattery, Outreach Officer on 07825174903 or at outreach@oriel.ox.ac.uk. We offer several distinctive events for target schools:
