Omar’s role is fostering relationships with the college’s generous alumni who want to support teaching, research, built heritage, and the student experience.
A key part of Omar’s role is to encourage alumni to be involved in marking Oriel’s 700th anniversary with a remarkable gift to support the College’s work.
Omar came to Oriel in 2023 and previously worked as a journalist in a leading Arabic newspaper in London and freelance linguist for different institutions in Oxford including the NHS.
