All of us at Oriel are greatly saddened to hear of the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, on 9th April 2021.
His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh had last visited the College with Her Majesty the Queen, our Visitor, in 2013. Our thoughts and condolences are with the Queen and rest of the Royal Family during this time.
The College flag is flying at half mast, and will remain so until after the Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral has taken place. A book of condolences will be available in the Chapel for College members to sign from Saturday.
