A drinks reception, hosted by Lady Mendoza, was held in College on Friday 3 March to celebrate International Women’s Day.
Over 60 alumnae, their guests and current students joined Lady Mendoza, staff and Fellows at the event. JCR Women’s Officer Eva Hogan (2021, English) and Women’s Network Steering Group member Fiona Lovatt (1991, Classics and Modern Languages) spoke about the importance of women at Oriel, updating guests on recent events and future plans.
The Oriel Women’s Network is open to all those who identify as women in any way, as well as allies. It is a global community made up of Orielenses, students, staff and Fellows.
Fiona commented “we are proud of all that women at Oriel have achieved over the last 38 years, and look forward to celebrating 40 years of women in 2025.”
The next event will be the annual Women’s Dinner, for students, held on Friday 28 April in College.
