Originally from Southern Germany, I studied German and Theology at the University of Eichstätt.
I then came to Oxford as a graduate student to St. Edmund Hall where I specialised in the area of Medieval German Mysticism and completed my MSt in Research Methods in Modern Foreign Languages in 1998 and my Staatsexamen in Germany in 1999.
In the following years, I taught German in the contexts of Secondary School and Adult Education near Manchester, before returning to Oxford in 2013.
Since 2013, I have been teaching Translation into German to St. Peter’s, Hertford, Queen’s and New College students of all years of study. From the academic year 2017/18 onwards I will also teach Oriel and Jesus College students.
