Stefanie Burkert-Burrows

MSt Oxf, Staatsexamen Eichstätt, PGCE MMU

Originally from southern Germany, Stefanie studied German and Theology at the University of Eichstätt. She came to Oxford as a graduate student at St Edmund Hall, specialising in Medieval German Mysticism, and completed her MSt in Research Methods in Modern Foreign Languages in 1998, followed by the Staatsexamen in Germany in 1999.

She went on to teach German in secondary schools and adult education near Manchester before returning to Oxford in 2013. Since then, she has been teaching Translation into German and German Grammar for both Prelims and Final Honours School (FHS) examinations. She currently teaches students across all years of study at several Oxford colleges, including Oriel College, and also offers tutorials for visiting students at different levels of German, as well as lessons in Business German.
