Director of International Programmes and Partnerships

£55,000 – £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Oriel College is seeking an internationally minded Director of International Programmes and Partnerships to lead and develop a successful portfolio of academic partnerships and visiting student programmes.

This is an opportunity to join a friendly, collaborative college community while shaping the next phase of Oriel’s international activity. Our programmes are already well established, with longstanding partnerships in China, a substantial US-based visiting student programme, and opportunities for growth across Europe and Australia. The successful candidate will oversee and strengthen these existing relationships while helping to develop new initiatives and partnerships.

The role would suit someone with experience of higher education and international engagement — potentially an academic seeking a stable, strategic, and people-focused leadership role. While closely connected to academic priorities and institutional relationships, the position is also highly operational and administrative, requiring excellent organisational skills and confident programme management.

This is an office-based role with a strong on-site presence, alongside regular international travel.

We are looking for someone personable, culturally sensitive, and enthusiastic about building long-term relationships across different educational and cultural contexts. This is an exciting opportunity to combine academic engagement, international partnership development, and institutional leadership within a welcoming Oxford college community.
