The main duties of the role are as follows:
- Organise teaching for clinical medical students attached to Oriel
- Provide pastoral care for the clinical students
- Participate in admissions interviews for undergraduate medicine
- Participate in other interviews in medicine; e.g. JRF posts
- Act as College Advisor for graduate students in medical science
- Fulfil duties as a Governing Body member of the College
